No More Deaths Fund

by UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CHURCH OF TUCSON

No More Deaths seeks to end death and suffering on the US/Mexico border through civil initiative: the conviction that people of conscience must work openly and in community to uphold fundamental human rights.

Founded in 2004, No More Deaths is a consensus-based group working to end death and suffering on the US/Mexico border. Since the mid-1990s, at least 7,000 men, women and children have died trying to cross the US/Mexico border, as a result of US government policies pushing migrants into the most dangerous and remote areas of the border.

Each year, No More Deaths mobilizes hundreds of volunteers to provide food, water, and first aid to individuals crossing the Southern Arizona desert; offer humanitarian assistance to recently deported individuals at migrant aid stations in Mexico; document abuses occurring in Border Patrol custody; and support community organizing and anti-deportation efforts in Tucson.
